Privacy and security of all members' personal information is imperative at TradeFinder.com. Your information is protected under our privacy policy and only released to the prescribed amount of contractors you select to bid on your project. Yes. Uploading photos or drawings for your project is highly recommended. All projects are screened before they are published. Any inappropriate materials will be rejected as per the Terms of Use agreement. You are allowed to load five (5) pictures per project. Maximum 2MB each in .jpg or .gif or .png

TradeFinder.com sells credits to trade members. These credits are used to access the bid reservation portion of their toolbox. This process eliminates advertisers and assures only serious trades will bid on your project. This is not a high cost that you will see reflected on the overall cost of your project, typically five dollars ($5.00)

After each project is completed a SUTR form will be sent to your toolbox or email requesting your input on the trades services received. This data is then collected by TradeFinder and a rating is applied to the trades profile page with your comments. As only the members that have used the tradesperson can comment on their service, the TradeFinder SUTR rating is the most reliable source of trades data collected online.

Each project can have between 3 and 7 bid requests set by the project owner (you). If all bid spots are not full at the end of your listing period (maximum 7 days) then your project will still be submitted to the trades requesting an opportunity to bid.

You will find standard form construction contracts and other helpful tools to assist in the construction process. There is a simple calculation to the value TradeFinder provides its users. As per CMHC report on home renovation 2008, the average cost of renovation project started in 2008 was $12,480.00. This same report states that 141,667 home renovation (residential alone) projects start in Canada each month. A credit for a bid reservation on TradeFinder costs five (5) dollars and there is no minimum or maximum to be purchased at a time. An average estimator is looking to receive 1 project for every 3.5 projects bided on. Therefore:
